Friends, Learning, Fumbles and much more at Wordcamp Pune 2013- With a small Entrepreneurial Tip.
So after a bumpy bus ride from Mumbai to Pune, It was a task to find the Hotel that was allotted to us for accommodation.
So after roaming around the roads of Pune at around 10 PM we were finally able to reach the Hotel.
It was a small hotel with decent rooms for the price we paid.
After a few drinks, dumb-charades we finally decided to sleep at around 1.30 in the morning.
The day started early at around 7. We(Me with my Dream Team) got ready and left for the Venue.
I was sitting there quite nervous about how would my session go, what would be the reaction of the attendees.
I interacted with a few people to interact with them and do something that I love doing the most “NETWORKING”.
A small tip:- “These kind of seminars are more or less for networking with like minded people and growing your network, A must do thing for an Entrepreneur, Keep a few cards handy with your Facebook, Twitter and Blog URL printed on it and start talking to the People shamelessly.”
So as I expected the Sessions started quite late and I was talking to a few people, and i bumped into Saurabh Shukla, I don’t know if I was bothering him or what but he straight away asked me to an Impromptu session with the attendees and guess what I agreed.
I started with “10 seconds to fame ” asking people to introduce themselves. It was fun a few introduced themselves and few ran away, maybe as one of speaker “Arun Prabhudesai” quoted I scared them off LOL.
By the time we were done with the 10 seconds to fame, the speakers had arrived and the turn up of attendees was quite decent as well.
This is the First part of my trip at the Wordcamp Pune (First Wordcamp and that too as a Speaker).
I will continue with the post tomorrow morning. I am my way back home will see you tomorrow guys. Have a great night. Oh BTW its Monday tomorrow
No, you weren’t bothering me. I was bothered by the restlessness in the room. And since I hadn’t seen you before, I thought I found the perfect ‘Bakra’ to do something about it !
Ah..Well you know I was quite nervous before my session but you so called “small exercise” helped me get out of that fear…thanks a ton..
